The Nanaimo Kidney Walk will take place this year at Maffeo-Sutton Park on Sunday August 12th and will include options for Walkers, Fun Runners, and Dragonboaters in both Individuals and Teams.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada, BC Branch will celebrate its 5th annual Give the Gift of Life Kidney Walks in August and September of 2012. In year one, a fledgling group of 7 communities successfully came together to make a difference in the lives of kidney patients and their families. In 2012, 19 communities around BC join forces to champion this extraordinary grassroots event. These walks have expanded to include dragon boat teams and even competitive runs in select communities.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada's Give the Gift of Life Kidney Walks take place each year in communities all across the country, and are one of the Kidney Foundation of Canada's most important 'Recycle for Life' fundraising and awareness campaigns.
