Tigh Na Mara Seaside Resort in Parksville is the place to be on September 24, when 150 like-minded people will come together to raise funds to help in the fight against ovarian cancer.

�The Lunch - A Fashionable Afternoon by the Sea� will feature noted surgeon and researcher, Dr. Sarah Finlayson as keynote speaker, CBC radio personality, Sheryl
Mackay, as MC, and a fun-filled afternoon that will include a 3-course gourmet lunch, a fashion show presented by The Bay, silent and live auctions and more.

Proceeds from the second annual gala affair will go to Ovarian Cancer Canada, which
supports women and their families living with this disease by raising awareness and
funding research to ultimately find a cure.

Last year, the sold-out event was attended by 120 guests and raised almost $18,000.
�Anyone who attended The Lunch in 2011 will not want to miss this one,� claims Sharon Wood, who spearheaded the fundraising project after losing her mother to ovarian cancer.
