Have an old tree you want to rejuvenate? Planning on planting and want to start your tree or shrub off to a fruitful start? Join us for a hands-on and informative workshop with horticulturist and edible landscaper Helena Hartwood. Learn about reasons for pruning, types of pruning cuts, when to prune, and what to use. Find out how pruning can prevent and manage pest problems. Experience includes learning to prune grape vines and a variety of both young and old fruit and nut trees.
To top it off this workshop includes an informative booklet on pruning.
By sliding scale donation. Pay what you can. Or bring a friend and split the donation! We appreciate whatever you can do.
Join us on Dec. 1st, 12-3pm at 5800 Argonaut Road. We will have a variety of tools for you to try, but encourage you to bring your own. Dress for the weather! Bring gloves for pruning and a cup. Warm beverages provided.
