What better way to celebrate the New Year than to gather in a circle and sing.

There will be plenty of songs, chants and rounds to lift the spirits and infuse a little harmony into the day. All teaching will be done in call and response fashion. No experience is necessary, so if you are a reluctant singer, this is an event where you are most welcome …. everyone can do this.

We will have a break part way through, and there will be ginger tea and goodies available and a bit of time to socialize. We will finish by 3:00 so you will still have time to have a nap before dinner. :)

Ten dollars will get you in the door and goodies and beverages will be by donation. The Merville Grand Mothers will be hosting this event and all proceeds will go towards purchasing aeroplan points for transportation for song leader, Tina Filippino’s trip to Ethiopia and South Africa with the Stephen Lewis Foundation this coming March.

This will be a fun afternoon of community singing and is open to everyone, so your help spreading the word is greatly appreciated. Please also pass on that there is a sliding scale for those who find the fee difficult. The gift of your voice is all you need to bring.
