It's almost Nanaimo Heritage Festival time - next Sunday!

If you're in town next weekend come on down we've really got things going on at Maffeo Sutton Park (11am-6pm) and the 60's themed parade that runs through downtown and past the park (1pm-2pm) is going to be pretty cool! Tons to do and check out, all kinds of new things this year! We've got a ton of family activities, a Show 'n Shine, a 60's fashion show, and live entertainment featuring Wise Youngblood, La Familia, The Femme Fatales, and other bands!

Family activities start at 11am and include Arts and Crafts, Kids Rides, Entertainment, Performances, Face Painting, Balloon Artist, Food Vendors, Live Entertainment and much much more downtown at Maffeo Sutton Park. Family activities continue throughout the day until 6pm. Even Ian Anderson is showing up!

At 1pm sharp the Nanaimo Heritage Festival Parade begins, starting at the top of Victoria Road and making its way through the downtown core to Maffeo Sutton Park. It has a neat twist to it - this year's theme is based on the 60's - Peace, Love, and Revolution.

This May long weekend celebration continues a Nanaimo tradition that has been held non-stop for over 153 years - come downtown on this Sunday May 20th, 2018 and join in the fun at this year's Nanaimo Heritage Festival See you there!
