Saturday, September 24th 1:30pm-4:30pm $40 Curious about self-compassion? Wondering what all the fuss is about? Thinking that maybe there is a kinder way to be with yourself? To have your own back - emotionally? Over 400 studies have shown that mindfulness and self-compassion practice reduce anxiety, stress, burnout and shame while improving health and well-being.
This introductory session will offer you an opportunity to dip your toe into the world of self-compassion. You will learn practices that you can take home and begin to use immediately for yourself - and others. Self-compassion is a courageous mental attitude that stands up to harm - the harm that we inflict on ourselves every day by overworking,overeating, overanalyzing, and overreacting.
It helps us recognize when we're under stress face what's happening in our lives (mindfulness) and take a kinder approach to life's challenges. Facilitated by Victoria Pawlowski
