Saturday, July 9th, 2016
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The Museum at Campbell River is offering a unique opportunity to explore Quadra Island’s rich history. Jeanette Taylor, the author of The Quadra Story and Exploring Quadra Island, will take you off the beaten path to see some of the sights that visitors to Quadra Island may not have the opportunity see on a self-guided tour.  Visit the petroglyphs at Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge, and see the Lucky Jim Mine. The tour includes stops at three heritage homes and gardens that are not otherwise open to the public, as well as a lunch break at the Heriot Bay Inn. Jeanette Taylor has an infectious passion for stories and brings the history of this island to life through her storytelling.

This tour will take place Saturday July 9, 2016.  Registration is through the Museum at Campbell River at 250-287-3103.  The price is $65 and does not include ferry costs or lunch.  Registrants meet on the 8:20am ferry to Quadra Island and return on the 5:00pm ferry. Travel is in a 15 passenger van, so registration is limited.  For more information go to www.crmuseum.ca.
