The Parksville Museum's Friday Night Farmers' Market is truly unique. Nestled amid actual buildings from Parksville's past, market visitors will feel as though they have been sent back in time when local food was the norm in these parts.
The local food movement gets a huge boost here as the Farmers' Market includes all the food locally made or grown that we need to fill up our carts. Vancouver Island is home to many Farmers' Markets but the one at Parksville Museum also has an Urban Farm School where serious Locovors can learn more about growing their own food, growing food for profit and even, obtaining their Organic Master Gardener training. Participate in food-related classes, dance to some lively entertainment, dine on local delicacies and of course, shop local-real local!
Non-profits are invited to bring their interactive activities to share and historic and/or locally themed artisans are invited to join in. From the history buffs to the lavish locovore and from the arts enthusiast to the do-it-yourselfer, if you want something different in a Farmers' Market, a true community gathering place, then the Friday Night Farmers' Market at the Parksville Museum is for you.
Make it a date night!
