Expressive Arts Workshop

When was the last time you felt heard? Did you know that words may not be the way that YOU connect and communicate? Writing and/or speaking may not be your first language of the body.
No wonder so many of us walk around feeling like no one gets us... sees us... knows us.
All of us have a story, AND, all of us have an innate (joyful! and ease-filled) way of communicating.
For some of us:
-colour is how we feel heard
-music is how we experience being seen, and
-movement is how we make sense of what is happening within us.
Story is not static, nor is it formulaic or prescriptive.
Story is a living, breathing thing, and it lives within us.
Expressive Arts is a rich and immersive way of connecting with ourselves and being deeply heard.
Join Storyteller, Expressive Artist, Writer and Expressive Arts Therapist (in training) Tina Overbury for a day of deep listening exploring the unsaid stories within us.
Over the course of the day through paint, words, music and movement you will create a 'living story' piece to take home with you.
Expect play. Count on eruptions of joy. Practice permission to be with what is.
The Stories of who we are live:
in our body
in the land we are from
and in the way we paint the world with our expression
This is what ‘Living Story’ looks like. Your innate language of connection to self and others is here to be explored, remembered and reclaimed.
Everything we do in the room is always invitational. You can opt in and opt out as you feel comfortable.
The workshop is limited to 16 participants. Snacks and tea will be provided. Please bring your own lunch (or grab something close by during our lunch hour).
Cost is by donation up to $150
