Discover a selection of edible wild plants & mushrooms as you tour a forest near the Englishman River, BC (15 minute drive from Parksville).
*Learn to find wild berries, teas, and greens, and recognize them in their fall attire.
*Get acquainted with the many uses of common trees - as food, medicine, and hosts for edible and medicinal mushrooms.
*Discover wild mushrooms along the walk and familiarize yourself with a few choice edibles - like chanterelles, lobsters, oyster mushrooms, and medicinal polypores such as turkey tail and our local reishi
*Sample wild teas and mushroom soup broth
This afternoon workshop is offered on both Sat Oct 24 or Sun Oct 25.
