Community Dialogue on Health Research

The BC SUPPORT Unit Vancouver Island Centre is co-hosting a community dialogue on health research. The objective of this event is to generate conversation and gather insights around the development of a new program in British Columbia that will help connect people to health research opportunities.
Project at a Glance: The BC Health Research Connection Project will improve how patients and the public can find and connect to health researchers and research opportunities. A majority of British Columbians are interested in participating in research but don’t know how they can get involved. At the same time, researchers spend a lot of time looking for participants and patient partners but struggle to find enough volunteers.
We’re inviting you to come and share your ideas and tell us:
• Why is health research important to you?
• How can we keep you informed of research opportunities?
Who can attend: People with a personal experience of a health issue, their family members and caregivers, and those who have always been interested in getting involved in health research! We are especially interested in hearing from older adults and seniors in the community about their specific needs. RSVP:
