add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
The Oceanside Health and Wellness Network (OHWN) is sponsoring a workshop to create community change through collective actions on two important but often hidden issues in Oceanside: mental health support for youth and young adults, and food security for school-aged children. Community members, groups and organizations who want to be involved in making a difference are invited to come together to share their wisdom, inspiration, and ideas.
You will have opportunities to:
· Learn and share through panel discussions and a keynote speaker
· Learn about local initiatives
· Explore opportunities for actions related to focus areas in small and large group discussion
· Become involved in next steps to move forward
As a diverse group of passionate community members, we will be exploring six important focus areas:
Mental health for youth and young adults: 1. access to services 2. social connection 3. stigma and education
Food security for school aged children: 1. at school 2. at home 3. in community
Please pre-register as space is limited. Registration closes on February 15th, 2018. A light lunch is included. We hope to see you there!
