Canada’s groundbreaking solo performance festival is back this year with a so-great-it’s-scary line up of shows, featuring returning Fringe Favourites, worldwide smash-hits and fresh new work by innovative emerging artists from across North America.
Uno Fest: Canada’s Singular Live Theatre Event is completely unique – it is Canada’s only festival dedicated to outstanding one-person live theatre. The festival is now in its 14th year. With an emphasis on fun, accessible theatre, Uno Fest brings together the country’s finest alternative comedy, drama, physical theatre, music and performance art. The 2011 lineup includes an eclectic mixture of one-person shows, works in development by innovative emerging artists, walking tours, monologue slams and more!
Uno Fest 2011 highlights include: Fringe legend TJ Dawe, British comedian and Uno Fest favourite Chris Gibbs, master storyteller Mike Daisey (“one of the finest solo performers of his generation” - New York Times), Fringe hit Missie Peters in Public Confessions of a Public Servant and a screening of Steven Soderbergh's documentary film about the late Spalding Gray, 'Everything Is Going To Be Fine'.
