Nanaimo Kennel Club Annual Dog Show and Obedience Trials
Friday, June 15th, 2012
8:00 am to 6 pm
Annual dog show hosted by the Nanaimo Kennel Club. Hundreds of purebred dogs being show to judges from all over North America and competitors come from across Canada and the United States. We will have a tent set up ring side to help people understand what a dog show is all about and we can tell you what is happening in front of you.
We also have a obedience trial where you will see dogs doing their exercises like you wish your dog would do them.
Lots of vendors selling everything for your dog. A food concession is also available. So bring your family out on one or all of the listed days, it is a different show each day.
Unfortunately according to the Canadian Kennel Club rules, you cannot bring your own family dogs with you, dogs must be entered into the show to be on the grounds.
Show grooming will be going on inside the Centennail Building. You can watch how those beautiful show dog grooms are created for so many different purebred dogs.
If your family is thinking of adding a dog to your life, this is the best place to be. You can see first hand what the breed you want is like, and you can talk to breeders and handlers who know the dogs and their individual traits. Ask many questions to understand if this dog is for you..
