The Malaspina Choir joins the Vancouver Island Symphony to perform one of the most profoundly moving and beautiful works ever composed for chorus and orchestra. In a genre that is by definition poignant and moving—requiem, a funeral mass- the Mozart Requiem stands apart from all others. Shrouded in mystery, left incomplete at Mozart’s death it is now universally beloved. Pre-concert talk 1:00 PM
The Choir celebrates their 39th Season and invites you to join them for three fabulous concerts! Performances feature a wide variety of choral music: in La Diva & Le Choir, to Handel’s Messiah, and finishing the season with the glorious and poignant Mozart Requiem. Join the 75-member Malaspina Choir for all three performances at The Port Theatre.
