BEGINNER WEST COAST SWING 7:00 - 8:00 PM
BEYOND BEGINNER DANCE PATTERNS 8:00 - 9:00 PM
$60 per person for each 6 week session
BEGINNER WEST COAST SWING is for people with no prior dance experience or for those who just want to improve their basics. We will take you through basic foundations of West Coast Swing.
BEYOND BEGINNER DANCE PATTERNS is for those with some prior knowledge of West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Night Club, Cha Cha and Country 2-step. Each week a socially danceable pattern will be taught in one of these dance styles. One class will be strictly lead & follow, connection, and turning basics.
A partner is necessary for these classes, but please contact us if you are interested even if you don't have a partner because we may have someone else needing a partner too.
Classes are casual dress. If you don't own dance shoes (yet) please bring shoes with leather soles or hard plastic soles. Rubber type soles are very hard on the ankles for dancing.
We also host a Friday Practise night at the Campbell River Community Centre, 401 11th Ave, upstairs in the Mirror Room from 7:00 - 8:30 with a $3 drop in fee. You can practise and get help as well as learn. It's a great social evening with other dancers.
