Come out to Nanaimo's lovely waterfront band shell for the 3rd annual Fiddles in the Park concert. This year's concert features three fiddle groups as well as the Nanaimo Youth Orchestra and a group of young Suzuki violinists aged 3 years and up.
You will hear a world premiere of a new string orchestra piece called March to the Bastion, written for the Nanaimo Youth Orchestra by Canadian composer Christine Donkin. Also featured will be traditional fiddle music from all over the world, some movie themes, and a movement from a Brahms symphony.
