Spend the day in Nanaimo's Maffeo Sutton Park taking part in games, listening to great music including the Juno nominated 'Kerplunks' (a favourite of little ones) and the 'Power Project', enjoying great multicultural foods, having your face painted, and checking out the interactive booths. The parade of flags will begin at 11am followed by the official opening of the Spirit Square.
