Park and Ride
There will be a Park & Ride Bus running during the Filberg Festival open hours (11-8 Fri, Sat, Sun and 11-6 Mon). Park in the Comox Rec. Centre field, access via Robb Road. The bus will leave from in front of the tennis court on Robb Road and loop every half hour during the day. This bus will go along Pritchard and drop passengers off on Comox Avenue, just across the street from the Festival entrance. The final bus will leave Comox Avenue/Festival Stop to take people back to Comox Rec. Centre at 8pm Fri/Sat/Sun and at 6pm on the holiday Monday. This bus is a school bus, and space may not accommodate strollers at the busiest times. Thank you for your patience.
This Park and Ride service is designed to ease the parking congestion in the Filberg Park neighbourhood, where there is a limited supply of parking. Wherever you park, please obey the traffic laws regarding distances from intersections, etc., and do not block anyone's driveway or park in the areas we have barricaded with cones, delineators or signs. The streets are narrow in Comox and we must keep avenues open for fire truck access. Residents in the neighbourhood can call tow trucks if their property is compromised. The RCMP patrol on bicycle and will tow for traffic violations. Please leave your pets at home; they are not allowed on the property.
We appreciate receiving any donation you are willing to contribute for the Park & Ride service - donation boxes are near the drivers on the bus. We hire these buses from First Student Canada and we really appreciate your donations to help us pay for this substantial operating cost - thanks!
