Scores of spooktacular works of pumpkin art. From the Joker to freaky tikis to mythical Celtic beasts. Featuring original art designs from local and international pumpkin artists. Final year.

Founder Sheryl Shermak has been carving artistic pumpkins for 16 years. Pumpkin Yard started with an unruly gathering of pumpkins and cardboard tombstones on a front yard in the Fernwood area of Victoria. Spurred on by the community, praise from the media and unused yard space the display soon expanded into a glowing festival of pumpkin art.

The Pumpkin Yard features only real pumpkins. That’s right they do art that rots. The Pumpkin Yard artists enjoy the challenge of racing the clock for ten days before Halloween to come up with as many creations as they can. And they encourage others who want to get involved to drop by and join them.

The Pumpkin Yard is a spectacle of light and sound with a number of displays to highlight the pumpkins: an old graveyard; haunted greenhouse; and a Mexican Day of the Dead altar.

The Pumpkin Yard team would love for you to add to the pumpkin glow by bringing along your own pumpkin creation or Jack O’Lantern face. You don’t have to be an artist to make a pumpkin shine!
