New summer camps for horse lovers and nature explorers are being offered at Campbell River's own Balance Equestrian Centre.

Young Farmers Camp is for all children ages 7-11. No experience with horses is necessary. The cost for a one week camp is $350 plus GST.

Mornings are spent in small groups riding, learning about and caring for horses and other farm animals, doing barn chores, and learning about nature.
Afternoons are spent playing games, crafting, exploring, doing farm work and just
plain ​having fun.

Payment and Cancellation Policy: to optimize instructor to camper ratios, we need to know numbers of registrants at least 2 weeks ahead of time. A $100 deposit is required at the time of registration. To obtain a full refund, we ask for 1 weeks notice of cancellation. If notice is less than 1 week, half of the payment ($50) can be put towards another camp or lessons.

Waivers: required for all campers- signed by parent/legal guardian. Please ensure that this is done ahead of time or come 15 min early the 1st day of camp

All Riders: will need to bring long stretchy pants, boots with a low heel, sunscreen, hat, water bottle and a snack and/or lunch (peanut free please) each day. Helmets provided. No sandals. A change of clothes for Young Farmers is advised- shorts are allowed in the afternoons.
