Yoga in Crofton

Join Kathy White for this unique event of 3 free Kaiut yoga classes in her Crofton yoga studio.


Kaiut Yoga helps keep the body and mind as healthy, mobile and pain free as possible as we age. It addresses all the health challenges that we face because the majority of us soend so much time sitting ( in chairs to eat, working at computers, driving our cars, watching TV) we very gradually lose the mobility in our hips, knees and shoulders until we realise we are “old” in our joints.


Kaiut Yoga specifically targets the joints by keeping the nervous system calm and relaxed while simultaneously applying pressure to ‘clean up’ the joints, especially hips, knees and shoulders.


The practice invites you to relax into each posture for a length of time revealing the places that we hold tension and stress and within a state of present awareness encourages the body/mind to open to its original nature creating freedom of movement and diminishing rigidity and stiffness. All levels of fitness, mobility and health are welcome.


The day will be a mix of classes (approx 11am ,1pm and 3pm) with talks about this practice and the roots of yoga. Tea and snacks will be served.


Kathy White has been practicing and teaching Yoga for over 20 years, she has trained and practiced in Sivanada, Scaravelli and Kaiut Yoga. She recently moved to Vancouver Island from Findhorn, Scotland.
