1:00 PM to 2:30 PM

Calling all artists who would like to be able to speak and write about their art work whether for publicity purposes, for their clients, or for their own satisfaction. And calling all writers who would like to expand and deepen their writing to include painting/photography/sculpture/textile works as their topics.

This writing workshop will introduce you to a variety of ways of looking at art, so that you can approach your own creative outlet in fresh and appealing ways. Whether you are an artist interested in the way people describe your paintings, or wishing to add words to your own works, or a writer wondering what images your words could inspire, or wanting to write about your favourite work of art, either way this workshop will deepen your understanding of your craft. It will help you use your own works and the writings and paintings of others to take a fresh look at how you approach your creative outlet.  Artists will never look at their own works, or at others works, quite the same way after this workshop!

Supplies to bring to class: writing material and a small piece of art, either your own, or one that you much admire. Instructor will also have inspirational material to share.
