What to Plant Now workshop teaches winter veggie gardening.
Want to be eating out of your garden twelve months of the year? Keep planting! May long weekend isnt the only time to get your garden in. By continuing to plant well into September, your garden will produce an abundance of vegetables through the fall and winter. Local farmer and agrologist, Arzeena Hamir, will discuss what kinds of vegetables grow well in the Comox Valley during the cooler months and how to time your planting to get the best production. This $30.00 per person workshop What to Plant Now takes place Saturday, May 31, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Black Creek Community Centre, 2001 Black Creek Rd. Participants need to call (250) 337 -5190 to preregister.
