During the Wine Walk, Parksville’s downtown businesses become “tasting rooms” where attendees may sample different Wines, Spirits, Beers and Ciders. Stroll from business to business exploring what downtown has to offer and shop while you sip from your souvenir glass.

Tickets are $35 each in advance or $45 on the day of the event. (These events tend to sell out quickly so it’s unlikely there will be any ‘Day of’ sales.)

Select your 10 ‘wine’ samples from the numerous options available at different businesses throughout Downtown Parksville. You're sure to find something you enjoy.

Taste Wine, Spirits, Beer & Cider

Attendees will taste wine from 15 different ‘wineries’. Start at the Parksville Music Centre to pick up your commemorative 12oz non-breakable stemless wine glass, wristband, event map and 10 tasting tickets then walk from business to business exploring downtown and chatting with wine makers and business owners. Each location will feature one winery and several locations will also offer food samples. (Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase for $2/ticket at two locations during the Wine Walk. Only ticket-holding attendees can purchase additional tasting tickets)

From urban sophisticated to funky fantastic, shopping in Parksville Downtown presents a warm and welcoming mix of fashionable clothing boutiques, one-of-a-kind gift shops and specialty stores that will keep you intrigued all evening. There's so much to explore!

Purchase Wine, Spirits, Beer & Cider

‘Wine’ will also be available for purchase at the Pop-up Wine & Food Market by the bottle. When you find a wine, spirit, beer or cider you love, bring a bottle home! We'll have custom wine bags available at the event as well.

When and Where to Check-in

Check-in for the event will open at 5:30pm (event begins at 6pm). Downtown Parksville is unique, you may want to arrive early grab some lunch and visit the quaint shops before registration. Check-in location will be at the Parksville Music Centre located at 104 Middleton Ave, Parksville, BC.

Please do not forget your driver’s license (must show proof of age), as we will check ID for ALL attendees. This allows us to serve you at the various sites without requiring you to show your ID at every spot. At check-in, you will receive a wristband, wine glass, 10 taste tickets and a map to all the tasting sites. You won't be able to sample without your wrist band.

Please note the Downtown Parksville Wine Walk will be held rain or shine. No refunds will be given if it rains.

Rules

Your wine glass must be empty before leaving each stop. (You don't have to drink it, but you can't have alcohol in your glass when you're walking outside.) Attendees must be 19. Please bring ID with you. Redeem taste tickets at each location for samples.

Suggestions

Avoid waiting in line by picking up your glass and wristband early on the day of the event. Keep your glass in hand throughout the event or label/decorate it with a Sharpie to avoid confusion during the walk. Choose your route in advance to avoid getting separated from your group.

Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, since you'll be walking outdoors between locations.

Be sure to eat lunch during the day to avoid drinking on an empty stomach. Many locations on the route will also have food available to sample or purchase.

Cross the streets at crosswalks.

Bring your ID.

Manage your alcohol intake; we reserve the right to refuse serving anyone who appears to be intoxicated.

Your tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferrable. If you are transferring your ticket to a different person, please be sure to login to Eventbrite and update the name on your ticket.
