The new Sidney Literary Festival is coming up October 4 � 6. As an introduction to the Festival, the North Saanich Flavour Trail August 24 and 25 will include Wine and Words @ Domaine Rochette, 10555 West Saanich Road. Wine and Words will celebrate local authors, including R. Bruce Logan and Elaine Head, Wally du Temple and Edward R. Ostachowicz, Anny Scoones and Carolyn Herriot, with readings, author talks and book sales. Readings will start at 11:00 a.m. and authors will change every 45 minutes, with a panel discussion at 3:00 p.m. This event will include an art show and sale by local textile artist Diane Thorp and an opportunity to taste Domaine Rochette�s estate wines.
