6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

In British Columbia, nearly 40% of the food we purchase is going to waste.

Join Project Zero and the Food Eco District - FED for a screening of the documentary 'Wasted! The Story of Food Waste', followed by a panel discussion.

After the film we look forward to localizing the conversation and addressing how food waste is currently being tackled. We hope to shed some light on this growing issue and discuss actions we can take with in our communities and within our own homes to reduce food waste.

Come hungry, pizza and beverages will be available for purchase. We will also be raffling off several food waste prevention starter kits.

Tickets will be $13 doors at the door, be sure to buy your tickets early!

All proceeds will go towards maintaining FED’s edible gardens around town so that we can continue to beautify our streets and inspire more urban agriculture in the city and beyond!

This event is open to all ages. Please note the VEC is not currently wheelchair accessible and attendees must walk up a flight of stairs to reach the theatre area.

We acknowledge with respect that this event is taking place within the unceded territory of the Lkwungen people, represented today by the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. We are honoured to work, live and learn on these lands.
