At VIU’s annual Trades & Tech Showcase, you can explore careers in everything from welding to hairstyling to web development and more. This event is open to everyone – whether you’re an enthusiast or you’re career-minded. It’s a chance for you to get hands-on experience with what we do in the Faculty of Trades and Applied Technology.
There will be plenty for you to do at the 2025 Trades and Tech Showcase. You can:
- operate a mini-excavator
- flavour your own kettle chips
- try a welding simulator
- taste liquid nitrogen ice cream
- build a wood planter and fill it with strawberry plants
You’ll also get a glimpse of the future as applied technology students showcase some of the innovative tech projects they have created.
