�Big Boat Buddy Day� is a fun way to come out for a paddle and see our beautiful Victoria harbour from the water in an 6-person outrigger canoe. Come join some of Victoria's experienced young paddlers for a fun paddle along our local waterways.

At this time of year the Christmas lights reflecting on the water are really very pretty and quite magical. The Victoria Youth Paddling Club (VYPC), a local canoe/kayak/dragon boat club for paddlers aged 9 to 18, enjoys doing this annually. We play Christmas music and dress up (with an eye still to proper paddling wear � dry fit clothing, fleece, non-slip footwear, etc.). We finish off our paddle with some hot chocolate in our club house!

This is the perfect time to try paddling in an outrigger canoe. Ages 12 and up are welcome (families are encouraged). We would love to have you come and paddle with us.

PFDs and paddles are included. Please park on the street and walk through the breezeway between Capital Iron and Ocean River Store and straight on down to the dock.

Your seat must be booked in advance - space is limited so please email [email protected] to register or if you have any questions. This event is weather-dependent and may be cancelled if necessary.
