The Comox Valley Paddlers’ Club is pleased to welcome Laura Griffith-Cochrane as their guest speaker at the club’s February meeting. Laura studied biology and oceanography at the University of Victoria and is the curator of the Ucluelet Aquarium - Canada’s first Catch-and-Release aquarium.
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Laura has made learning about marine ecosystems a life-long adventure. Through diving, snorkeling, surfing and foraging, she is constantly on the hunt for new ways to experience the ocean and connect people with marine environments.
Laura's presentation will commence at 7:00 pm sharp and will be followed by a short break and a club business meeting. Doors open at 6:30 pm. The CV Paddlers Club meetings take place the first Thursday of the month, October through to May.
Paddling enthusiasts can learn more about club events and summer activities at the meetings or via www.comoxvalleypaddlers.ca.
Non-members are also welcome to attend.
