The Get 'FED' Harvest Fiesta

Each year, the Food Eco District (FED) has an annual summer party to raise funds and awareness, and this year we've decided to put on a taco cook-off between our restaurant members, using produce from local farms and grocers deemed too conventionally ‘ugly’ to sell.
We hope to raise awareness about food waste, how it impacts food security here on Vancouver Island and ways we can support our local farmers.

All proceeds will go towards maintaining our many edible gardens around town so that we can continue to beautify our streets and inspire more urban agriculture in the city and beyond!
We are very grateful to be holding this event on the unceded territories of the Lekwungen people, specifically the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.
