The theme of Campbell River's Business & Professional Women's Network meetings for 2015 is "Women Inspring Women: Defining Moments in Personal and Business Success."

Lori Camire, Executive Director of Community Futures Alberni-Clayoquot, and General Manager & Director of Venture Connect Inc.

The title of Lori’s presentation is “Supply and Demand of Small Business for the Next Two Decades, 2011 – 2036.”

Lori will talk about changing demographics in Campbell River and the Strathcona area, and the impact of that for business projected over the next 20 years.  She will discuss both the challenges and the opportunities associated with an aging population, and specifically the need for businesses to prepare now… because projections show there are not enough youth to take over.

She will talk about succession planning, and the Venture Connect program which prepares businesses planning to sell, and match-ups with suitable buyers.
