10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

The quest for a healthier and longer life has never been as confusing as it is now. Should you join a spin class or would poll walking be better? Should you go gluten free or swear off bread? Does any of this stuff really add years to your life? If you are looking to make a lifestyle change or have already or just want to feel healthier do not miss this free event!

For two hours we will examine all the trends in eating, exercise, relaxation, sleep, fat, and battling wrinkles and aging. The good news is it is possible to enjoy good health and age well without having to give up your favorite foods to dedicate hours to the gym. Understanding the science and psychology of health is the key to enjoying a well lived life.

Kathi Cameron, BKin., MA, RCC, has worked in the fitness and health promotion industry for over 25 years as a kinesiologist and health educator and now works as a clinical counsellor focused on health prevention. Carrie Bisson, MSW, RSW, has worked as a clinical social worker for over 12 years and works with people challenged with eating and exercise abuse. Together, they offer an informative and fun-filled workshop offering current research-based health information in a group discussion format.

Come for the socializing, come for the up-to-date information, come for the discussion, or just come for the great coffee and bagels....just come. If you miss this one, we offer workshops just like this once a month. Check out our website link and hit "workshops" in the menu for more detailed information.

All donations will be going to the Comox Valley Transition Society.
