add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
For generations, Indigenous peoples across British Columbia have been advocating for recognition of their Aboriginal Title by the Crown. This issue, at one time referred to as the "Indian Land Question", has configured politics and relations in BC for well over a century. With the Supreme Court of Canada's historic declaration of title, a new era is upon us all. Doug White, Interim Director of VIU's new Centre for Pre-Confederation Treaties and Reconciliation will present on the decision and its political, legal, social and economic implications. All are welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
