Celebrate With Us! Join Seniors Connect as we celebrate National Seniors Day on Sunday, October 1st with a fun filled afternoon at Vancouver Island University.
We will be joined by MLA Leonard Krog and Mayor Bill McKay as we kick off “Seniors Celebrate” month in Nanaimo which focuses on positive aging. We will be screening the internationally acclaimed film “The Age of Love” which follows a group of seniors – 70 to 90 as they experience speed dating for the first time. We will follow the film with a short Q&A, refreshments and an opportunity to sign up for a proposed Seniors Speed Dating activity in Nanaimo.
