Zandhunga has toured internationally, taking their lively and highly danceable Latin music as far as Taiwan. For the Summer Salsa Nights series at the Bridge, the band will bring their well-loved repertoire of classic and cutting edge salsa, tributing such legends as Hector Lavoe and the queen of salsa, Celia Cruz, amongst others. Attention dancers and lovers of live Latin music - mark your calendars, because you won't want to miss out While Zandhunga’s show is mainly salsa, don’t be surprised to hear anything from merengue, cha-cha-cha, cumbia and even some Latin-jazz thrown into the mix.
Mexican-born multi-instrumentalist Oscar Robles Diaz is lead vocalist and percussionist in the group. Brittany Bowman is on bass with Kelly Thomas on keys and Jake Masri and Jeff Agopsowicz in the horn section. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the live music gets going at 9:00 p.m. Admission at the door is $15 while advance tickets are $12 and $30 gets you a pass to all three Zandhunga shows happening at the Bridge this summer.
