Seniors Garden Project Orientation

Are you 55 or more? If you have just one of the following interests or abilities then The Men’s Centre needs you for a project – Building garden boxes, taking pictures, hand tool usage, gardening tool usage, love of gardening, an interest in lepidoptera or entomology!

The garden will be a flower, fruit, herb and vegetable mix. You should be able to take some photos of the plants you’ll grow and some of the insects that love them!

Why? We’ll be using the photos as part of a project to create a website that will create a photographic record and monitor the micro-environment of the garden. You’ll also be able to reap what you sow! There will be an autumn dinner made with some of the produce and a discussion of the findings.

It is an interesting volunteer project!
