SafeTALK Workshop SafeTALK is a half-day suicide alertness training that prepares anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience of training, to become a suicide-alert helper.
Most people with thoughts of suicide don't truly want to die but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive.
SafeTALK-trained helpers can recognize these invitations and take action by connecting the person with thoughts of suicide to local life-saving intervention resources.
Tuesday, October 3rd from 1:00 to 4:30 pm at Craig Street Commons.
Cost is $35.
Phone RDN, Recreation and Parks at 250-248-3252 to pre-register. View recreation programs online at rdn.bc.ca/recreation.
