Restorative Forest Therapy - an introduction
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
This Restorative Forest Therapy workshop is an introduction to effective therapy techniques known to decrease physiological and psychological stress by increasing parasympathetic nervous activity. Studies show that people with chronic heart failure, poor immune response, inflammation, type II diabetes, depression and anxiety can benefit from exposure to forested environments. Participants will learn to slow down, use proper body positioning, appropriate cadence, cognitive awareness, effective breathing and a positive frame of mind. You will gain insights to the beneficial healing abilities of a specific type of natural forest, and open you to how a more extended program of Forest Therapy can benefit you for long term health.
