Maggie Zeigler and Jackie Larkin, experienced facilitators, educators and activists who have been facilitating "The Work that Reconnects" for 17 years, will be back in the Cowichan Valley and offering a two day retreat at Providence Farm February 10th and 11th.
Jackie and Maggie, who trained with "Work that Reconnects" creator and eco-Buddhist philosopher Joanna Macy, will support us to engage heart, mind and spirit in the task of renewing our connection to ourselves, our community and all life on earth.
If you are sometimes overwhelmed by the unraveling of our world -
the climate crisis, species extinction, violent conflict, increasing inequality - this is a way back to connection and action. Through experiencing our full range of feelings about our planetary crisis and deepening our understanding about our connection to all life, we can find the courage and resilience to support ourselves and each other through challenging times. And we can find meaningful and nourishing ways to engage in the work that is needed.
Rooted in "The Work that Reconnects", Macy's pioneering form of group work, the retreat will integrate a wide range of ideas and experiential processes and include time connecting with nature. Join us to "Renew, Reengage and Reconnect to Life"!
This two-day non-residential retreat is $140 per person. Some partial bursaries are available. Bring lunches. Coffee, tea and snacks are provided. Billeting for out of town participants is available. Space is limited for the retreat, so advance registration is required.
