12:00 PM to 11:00 AM

Are you feeling disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by stress, experiencing challenges in your relationships or struggling to stay motivated? We understand that modern life can make it really hard to be present and fulfilled. This outdoor wellness Camping retreat will help you find balance, reduce stress, improve your communication and relationship quality and support your nervous system to achieve your personal best.

Each day is dedicated to helping you reconnect with your authentic self and the natural world while tapping into the healing power of Mother Nature.

The weekend will consist of outdoor activities to support your nervous system’s ability to shift out of the fight or flight sympathetic state that society keeps us trapped in and into the rest and digest parasympathetic space to cultivate a deep sense of presence and connection to self. We will introduce tools that can be used at any time and anywhere to support our emotional state and regulation even in the most triggering moments of life!

Return to Spirit Wellness will be hosting this event and supported by other Vancouver Island Health and Wellness practitioners. Weekend offerings and facilitator details will evolve as we get closer to the event but will include, breathwork, meditation, mindfulness, earthing, yoga, cold thermogenesis opportunities in the river, ocean and waterfalls, sleep support exercises, hiking, forest bathing, creative collaboration, life vision creation workshop, full moon releasing ritual, drumming circle, music, dancing, and chanting. There will be a communal potluck evening where we all share food and a closing ceremony around the fire Sunday night.

LOCATION:

To keep the total costs as low as possible the Retreat will be facilitated in Qualicum Beach, BC at Cedar Grove Campground. Multiple riverfront tenting sites(no power or water) have been reserved together to set up a communal camping experience. There is a maximum of 2 tents per site and 5 adults so larger shared tents are ideal for friends or small groups. Participants are responsible for providing their own tent, tarp and sleeping equipment and camping supplies for individual sites. There will be a main group site at #84 with covered camping kitchen area, access to propane stove, barbeque, cooking equipment and table space for preparation of food and dishwashing etc and a tarped off communal eating/gathering space. We encourage everyone to use this space as needed or welcome you to have your own equipment set up at your individual sites if you prefer. Site #84 will host the on-site weekend activities, opening circle, full moon ritual, vision creation workshop, potluck and closing circle. Firewood will be provided during these group activities and additional firewood can be purchased at the office for individual sites if desired.

FOOD/COOKING

Participants are expected to provide their own cooler, food, water, beverages and snacks for the weekend as well as an offering to share for the Sunday night potluck. Participants are also required to bring their own plates, cutlery, mugs etc and there will be dishwashing tubs set up at #84 for communal use as well as a washing station at the washrooms.

More about your Host:

From Jessica Joughin, founder of Return To Spirit Wellness, Nanaimo BC https://returntospiritwellness.com/

I founded Return to Spirit Wellness in 2023 to share my love of Mother Nature and its mental, physical and spiritual benefits with my community here on Vancouver Island. Besides my own personal mental wellness transformation, I have over 8 years of knowledge and experience working in supportive roles in the health and wellness industry. My positions have varied immensely from mental health, addiction, pre/post natal education, youth advocacy and housing support, personal support care and education for physical and developmental disabilities and more recently I have been coaching 1 on 1 and co-facilitating group holistic health support sessions and outdoor wellness coaching.

At Return To Spirit, we believe that the modern world can be overwhelming and stressful, leaving us feeling disconnected and out of balance. Our outdoor coaching services are designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with the natural world around you and within you. We will guide you through practices that will help you achieve greater clarity, focus, presence , and a deep sense of inner peace while helping you find balance, reduce stress, improve your communication and relationship quality and support your nervous system to achieve your personal best.
