Qigong Workshop

This is an introductory workshop to explain and demonstrate the practice of Qigong; which is an ancient Chinese exercise consisting of breathing exercises, posture, visualization, and gentle movements. Participants will be guided through techniques to learn abdominal breathing, which helps to calm the central nervous system and bring more oxygen to the cells.

The workshop will focus on the gentle, and flowing 18 movement style which is easy to learn.

The techniques used help to relax and integrate the mind and body; so the overall effect of regular qigong practice is increased energy and mindfulness. Studies have also linked qigong to improved circulation, reduced stress, lowered blood pressure, reduced chronic pain, and improved immune function.
