The Puppets for Peace Festival includes Puppet Central, a display of puppets from around the world, and the festival weekend featuring puppet shows, workshops and parade.
Puppet Central
From August 17 until our celebration weekend on September 11, PUPPET CENTRAL in the Bay Centre (3rd floor) is open daily, 10am-6pm, visitors can see puppets from all over the world, including those of renowned Canadian artists Pat Martin Bates and P. K. Page. See them up close and behind the scenes – plus experience the chance to try handling many different types of puppets. Visit the Puppet Central page for a complete schedule of events.
Puppets for Peace Festival Weekend
The festival weekend (September 12 & 13) will feature performances and workshops around the city.
The PUPPETS FOR PEACE Parade joins the Vining Street Party on the Plaza for a GRAND CELEBRATION on September 13, 2015. Join our parade of puppets around the Fernwood neighbourhood and in festivities on the grounds of Victoria High School.
