Dr. Ogilvie is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Global Control of HPV Related Diseases and Prevention, Professor in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia, and Associate Director of the Women's Health Research Institute at BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre. Her internationally recognized research has helped shape public health policy and practice in Canada and around the world, particularly in the areas of HPV, cervical cancer prevention, reproductive health, sexually transmitted infections, screening programs, and vaccination. 

The Pomeroy Autor Lecture is part of UVic's public lecture tradition and celebrates intellectual curiosity, discovery, and public engagement. The lecture is made possible through the legacy of Dr. Anne Pomeroy Autor, an accomplished scientist, educator, mentor, volunteer, and community leader whose distinguished career spanned research, teaching, and service across Canada and internationally. Dr. Autor's generous support of the University of Victoria continues to foster opportunities for learning, scientific exploration, and dialogue within our community.
