Barbara Callow will guide you in this exciting workshop Combining watercolour painting with ink line work for quick and effective small paintings. Record your world with these fun little watercolour and ink sketches.

These charming little paintings are quick and deceivingly easy to do as the ink line drawing forgives many errors in the watercolour painting making this method relaxing and stress free. Useful for sketching on location or painting in the comfort of home or studio from photos taken.

We will begin with choosing a good composition and some simple exercises in watercolour the first day to understand how the paint works with water on paper. For the rest of the class we will be working on small paintings with ink embellishments for definition and effect. We will do at least one landscape and some other subjects over the two days. Suitable for beginners or those with experience.
