Painting: Nature Bound
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
In this painting course, students will explore the intersection between the human and natural worlds specific to gardens, landscaping and agriculture. Traditional tropes of plein air painting will be re-examined in order to bring new life to nature-based drawing and painting practices.
Man-made objects and systems will be examined in partnership with the beauty of natural spaces in a series of painting projects. Students will develop a broader understanding of how to use nature as subject matter in contemporary art by the end of this course.
