P-ART-Y on the Drive 2013 is gearing up to be even bigger and better than our first P-ART-Y and you are all invited. Last year, we had almost 2000 people attend and this year, we expect to double that. Come and be a part of the largest street party on Vancouver Island. Enjoy the sounds of a variety of musical genres on 6 stages featuring musicians from all over Vancouver Island. Savor the delectable cuisine of our superb mobile food vendors as they offer everything from home-cut fries to gourmet poutine. Our local food is definitely something to brag about. And the artists, we have invited artists from all over Vancouver Island including painters, photographers, potters, carvers, sculptors, puppet makers, jewelry makers and so much more. They will have their work on display and for sale. Many of them will be demonstrating how they create their masterpieces and some will even be providing opportunities for you to create! New this year is the addition of even more activities for the young and for the young at heart. The seven resorts that make up Resort Drive will be hosting Open Houses so what a great opportunity to check out these world class accommodations and begin planning your next vacation to Paradise in Parksville. Another change we made this year is to expand the Street Dance. Last year, this was hugely popular so this year, we are expanding to include two bands and there will be non-stop dancing in the street all afternoon.
