A rural ramble offering residents and visitors an opportunity to explore and experience Peninsula food and agriculture � and have fun! The annual summer event offers participants a diverse choice of 16 venues to visit over the two-day event. Learn how to grow your own veggies � and get started on your winter garden. Discover how to grow oranges and lemons in your backyard � and make home-grown marmalade. Enjoy fine wine and savour local cuisine. Relax and have a cuppa with fresh scones and home-crafted strawberry jam. Take in local history. Picnic by the Salish Sea. Tour brochures are available after July 21 at many locations on the Peninsula and in the Victoria area, including the North Saanich Municipal Hall, North Saanich Farmers� Market, as well as most libraries and rec centres, or download a copy of the brochure from the Flavour Trails website (www.flavourtrails.com).

The Flavour Trail kicks off with a BBQ at the Muse Winery celebrating the bounty of the north Peninsula on Friday night (August 22) beginning at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy a harvest spread filled with locally farmed products. Tickets available through Muse Winery (call 250-656-2552 to reserve or stop by the winery and pick up tickets).
