Do you think you have what it takes to win Nanaimo Idol? Westcoast Vocal Academy is looking for the best voices in Nanaimo.

This all ages contest will see the top five contestants perform onstage with the Femme Fatales at the Bathtub Days Street Fair on Saturday, July 25th.

The winner will be crowned during the grand finale on Sunday July 26th and will win a fantastic selection of prizes valued at over $1,000 including vocal and acting classes, a star treatment makeover, clothing and headshots for their portfolio.

Important Dates:
-Monday JULY 13th all audition tapes must be in by the end of the day, NO EXCEPTIONS
-Tuesday July 14th contestants that are chosen to participated will be notified and congratulated by email.
-Friday July 17th first round chosen contestants will perform at TBA
-Saturday July 25th finalists will perform with The Femme Fatales
-Sunday July 26th finalists will perform their final two songs with tracks or self accompanied with guitar, and the contest will be brought to a close.

Registration:
-There is a $20 fee required for registration upon being accepted
-No person other than the Contestant is eligible to register or enter this Contest on behalf of the Contestant. i.e. child must be present with parent at the time of registration
-One registration and Entry per Contestant.
-Parents and legal guardians of Contestants under 18 years of age must provide consent and contact information on the registration form.
-Contestants will be asked to sign a photo/video release form

Content and Song Choices:
-Contestants are allowed to perform originals so long as they are accompanied by a cd track, guitar, or it is acapella. You will not be judged on the quality of your original piece.
-Songs chosen must have no use of swearing.

-1st place- Full vocal set up (4 lessons) with Jona Kristinsson Director of West Coast Vocal Academy and creator of the Vocal Vibrancy vocal system.
Performance with The Femme Fatales at a later date TBA
