DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p><br />Do you think you have what it takes to win Nanaimo Idol? Westcoast Vocal Academy is looking for the best voices in Nanaimo.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>This all ages contest will see the top five contestants perform onstage with the Femme Fatales at the Bathtub Days Street Fair on Saturday, July 25th.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>The winner will be crowned during the grand finale on Sunday July 26th and will win a fantastic selection of prizes valued at over $1,000 including vocal and acting classes, a star treatment makeover, clothing and headshots for their portfolio.</p>=0D=0A=
<p><strong>Important Dates:</strong><br />-Monday JULY 13th all audition tapes must be in by the end of the day, NO EXCEPTIONS<br />-Tuesday July 14th contestants that are chosen to participated will be notified and congratulated by email.<br />-Friday July 17th first round chosen contestants will perform at TBA<br />-Saturday July 25th finalists will perform with The Femme Fatales<br />-Sunday July 26th finalists will perform their final two songs with tracks or self accompanied with guitar, and the contest will be brought to a close.<br /><br /><strong>Registration:</strong><br />-There is a $20 fee required for registration upon being accepted<br />-No person other than the Contestant is eligible to register or enter this Contest on behalf of the Contestant. i.e. child must be present with parent at the time of registration<br />-One registration and Entry per Contestant.<br />-Parents and legal guardians of Contestants under 18 years of age must provide consent and contact information on the registration form.<br />-Contestants will be asked to sign a photo/video release form<br /><br /><strong>Content and Song Choices:</strong><br />-Contestants are allowed to perform originals so long as they are accompanied by a cd track, guitar, or it is acapella. You will not be judged on the quality of your original piece.<br />-Songs chosen must have no use of swearing.<br /><br /><strong>Prizes:</strong><br />-1st place- Full vocal set up (4 lessons) with Jona Kristinsson Director of West Coast Vocal Academy and creator of the Vocal Vibrancy vocal system.<br />Performance with The Femme Fatales at a later date TBA<br />$100 Gift certificate from NYLA Fresh Thread<br />Head shots from Yeosmith Studio<br />Gift certificate for one month of acting lessons from Kismet Theatre Academy<br />$100 Gift certificate from Luscious Me Clothing, Lingerie &amp; Shoe Co.<br />Star Treatment package from Hey Beautiful<br /><br />-2nd place - Full vocal set up (4 lessons) with Sydney Needham Assistant Manager of Westcoast Vocal Academy<br />Head shots from Yeosmith studio<br />Gift certificate for one month of acting classes from Kismet Theatre Academy<br /><br /><em>More Prizes TBA</em><br /><br /><strong>Judges:</strong><br />Jona Kristinsson<br />Sydney Needham<br />Bob Moffatt<br />Tina Coldwell<br />and more TBA</p>=0D=0A=
